Final Year Project for a Monash Computer Systems Engineering degree. Undertaken in 2009.

The idea is that the perspex disc with the red line mimics the pendulum arm, using the camera to detect the angle.

  • @hardxxcorey the red line on the plastic disc was controlled by a motor. So the challenge of the project was to track the pendulums motion (using a camera) and then recreate it on the motor to match (via software control).

    The idea is that a similar system could be used for something else, such as robotics or automation.
