Lovely voice, but very different from his father Jussi, who was a leggero and Rolf is a spinto. I will now look for some of his recordings as I think they will be worth having. The grandson Raymond has an untrained, but natural voice as well, but not in the league of his father and definitely NOT in his grandfather's league!

@mauriciomille No Rolf is Jussi's son born in 1928 and died in 1993 at the age of 65. His dad, Jussi only made 49.

How sad ! The instrument is there, so different from his father's. Had he only listened to the portamenti of his father, the freedom of his father's voice produced BEHIND and independent of the vowels, we would not have said "his career was not good, because his father was the great "Jussi". He would have liberated a fine lirico-spinto voice. How sad !
