Charmander was a lizard, Squirtle was a turtle, Bulbasaur was a frog wearing a plant, Pidgey a pigeon, Spearow a sparrow, Ekans a snake (it's name is snake BACKWARDS!), Pikachu was a mouse, Meowth a cat, Psyduck a duck, Mankey a monkey, and the list goes ON! People who say Gen V sucks because the Pokemon aren't as creative should be taken out back and shot like a horse with a broken leg. You are why the world is now mentally retarded. Gen I was great, but it was the LEAST creative generation!

Love them! I would totally have bought the cards if they were real. I don't buy the black&white pokemon cards cause I don't like most of the pokemon. . . . I hope they come out with a 6th gen to make up for this lame real 5 gen pokemon. You could teach them a thing or two lol.

@MoJo7500 Well every gen has its own spark. I admit gen I & II had great story and pkm but gen III gave place to the metagame of pokemon(stats divison,abilities, evs, nature, etc.). The problem of gen V is that really nothing new besides new species. I hope gen VI grings some new flavor like, umm let's say you have your starter but not as a present from a scientist and you ahve to pass some test to get your pkm license and then start the gym badges quest an tidbits of more interesting stuff.

No new generations will ever beat Generation 1 and 2, the classics will always have the best looks. The new look they gave each generation after 1 and 2 makes them look really weird and some what fake. Of course each generation and a couple and i mean verrrryyyy limited cool pokemon but they will never be as good as the first
