Basicly Simba and Scar are brothers, but then their father, Mufasa comitted suicide, and Simba was there. Simba fled, and Scar always blamed Simba for not stopping their father, and so confronts him when Simba returns.

Also I thought scar kinda caused Mufasas death, he didn't really commit suicide. It was technically scars fault.
