Here would be my rankings:
1. MMA + boxing
2. a tie between Ice Hockey and Rugby
3. Lacrosse + American Football
4. gymnastics
5. Water Polo (I hear it's bloody tough)
I'm probably forgetting a few ones but that would be my take!

@notoriousb3nni Zdeno Chara is 6'9" and 265 pds. There are many hockey players that weigh between 240-260 (especially heavyweight scrappers). I don't doubt for one second that Rugby is equally tough.. but Ice Hockey is a seriously tough sport. A Rugby player would never receive a hit to the head from a guy moving at 35+ Kms an hour. If hockey players weren't padded many would die. For me it's apples and oranges - I played both and their both very tough sports.
