  • 37 mpgs, LOL, here in Europe we have diesel Smart Cars that get almost 70 combined...

  • if you where smart you wouldnt of baught a rice burner car

  • Yes, thats true. But the Honda looks like every other car on the road....

  • civic is just as good. not so smart now...

  • @houston7544 have u seen it with a hayabusa engine in it? call that gay

  • its a gay golf cart people !!!!

  • Here in the Uk i find it hard to visualise somebody trying to get 45mpg from a Smart.

I own a new 54Hp ForTwo Cdi diesel and because our gallon here in the Uk is 4.5Litres my car is returning a genuine 90mpg.

It must be annoying for customers in the US whose cars are returning disappointing fuel economy from what afterall is a lite sub 800Kg citycar.

  • I think I can say with confidence what the MPG is in MY car based on MY driving style and no one elses. I get Avg 35 in the city and +40 on the highway running @ 65+(keeping up with traffic) and running the AC, Florida is perpetually hot.

  • Funny to see that after parting with Daimler, Chrysler who is now in a real financial hole has aligned with FIAT to market their micro ... the 500 in the USA. I've owned my smart for over 18 month.. I think I can say with confidence what the MPG is in MY car based on MY driving style and no one elses. I get Avg 35 in the city and +40 on the highway running @ 65+(keeping up with traffic) and running the AC, Florida is perpetually hot.
