Added footage and photos 4-26-09 This is video I shot of the back up generator being installed at my work in Mesa AZ, for security reasons I cannot disclose the location. I was very surprised at how dam big it is, about 12 feet high. It sits on a 1000-gallon fuel tank, which will be an expensive fill up! It is a Cat 750 KVA, 27 liter V12 burning up to 60 gallons of diesel per hour at full load. This is an insane amount of fuel. The wire used to connect it is $3.00 a foot and there are 12 wires (4 for each phase) from the generator to the transfer switch. This will start by itself on power failure to power our data center. In the past when the power went out it was UPS power that lasted about 20 minutes, not even enough time to shut every thing down and someone had to be there. This is a great improvement.
if you have seen this scroll in a bit as the end has a shot clip of big a$$ wires being pulled in to the transfer switch box and some stills of the wiring. Crack heads stay away from our copper, then phase 408 may give you the best buzz you ever had.
