Each year, the Department of Physics at Lawrence University hosts a weekend workshop for high school seniors who are interested in physics. Many of these visiting students will apply to and eventually attend Lawrence.
Assisted by members of the Lawrence physics faculty, current Lawrence physics majors and Lawrence alumni, these high school students work in our state of the art laboratories to perform six to eight experiments in several areas, including: measuring the speed of light, building a laser and making holograms.
The 24th Annual Lawrence Physics Workshop was held on February 25-27, 2011.
