Cloud Cult - Ghost Inside Our House (Cover)

A pretty song by one of my favorite bands. Somehow my guitar sounded like I plugged it in to a chorus pedal, but I did not. My computer just randomly decided to drop some chorus on it, apparently. Good call, Macbook. Toward the end you can also hear an improv vocal solo by my cat Kierkegaard. I plan to screw him out of all the royalties.

@misskrist022 Thanks :) The chords I use aren't the same as the original, but they're simple. I use all open chords. The verse: G, A7sus4, Em7, Cadd9, D, G. The prechorus/chorus goes: Em7, Cadd9, Em7, Cadd9, G, A7sus4, Em7, G, A7sus4, Em7, Cadd9, Em7, Cadd9, Em7 and then back to the verse. Let me know if you have any questions or would like me to diagram out the fingerings. Basically your pinky and ring finger just hang out at the third fret the whole song, except when you're playing the open D.

That's not chorus, you're getting audio clipping. Use a higher bitrate when recording/encoding. If you don't know what that means, let me know what hardware/software you're using and I'll let you know how to improve sound quality.

Thanks for the offer. I have a pretty good idea of how to improve the sound, and have the condenser microphones and mixer to make it happen. I take a pretty lazy approach to the YouTube videos. This was recorded just using the internal audio and video on my MacBook. Maybe someday I'll set up my equipment and lay down a few nicer sounding tracks :)

Again, this has more to do with bitrate, and far less to do with hardware. Most hardware can record at least half-decent sounds. What you have here is certain heights and lows of the audio "fudging" with the audio before and after, making one long midtone echo. Play around in the settings (I don't use macs) and try to find an encoding rate, and set it as high as you can without going over the youtube size limit.
