In 1997, Tony Blair won the biggest Labour victory in history to sweep the party to power and end eighteen years of Conservative government. He has been one of the most dynamic leaders of modern times; few British prime ministers have shaped the nation's course as profoundly as Blair during his ten years in power, and his achievements and his legacy will be debated for years to come. Now his memoirs reveal in intimate detail this unique political and personal journey, providing an insight into the man, the politician and the statesman, and charting successes, controversies and disappointments with an extraordinary candour. "A Journey" will prove essential and compulsive reading for anyone who wants to understand the complexities of our global world. As an account of the nature and uses of power, it will also have a readership that extends well beyond politics, to all those who want to understand the challenges of leadership today.

  • I beg of people to see the light and realise this man is a 'mass murderer that also ruined Britian'. I believe in forgiveness, but only for those who genuinely acknowledge their mistakes. Parliament is a disgrace, Bank of England is a disgrace, British Media is a disgrace, wish us luck.

  • Why is everyone writing that he is a mass murderer?! I know the Iraq War was unpopular, but remember that Iraq was only 18months after 9/11, when we were still afraid of international terrorism. You're all talking with the benefit of hindsight, which Tony Blair didn't have in March 2003.

  • boy who cried wolf

  • Blair is pure evil, this interview proves it.

  • Best interview of Tony Blair ever!

His answers proves his guilt. He is the biggest talker ever but even he, Tony Blair cannot wriggle out of some of these questions. The public know the truth.

  • People get bombed the world over on a daily basis. When it happens in a wealthy industrialised country we are all supposed to have a big cry. Fuck this racist idiot.

  • This is not an interview... it is an audience with. The BBC, despite receiving taxpayers' money respresenting a panoply of different views, stick to a left wing agenda formulated by the Guardian despite England being a conservative country (note the small c fellows). The BBC gives 80% of its newspaper advertising to the Guardian despite it having the second smallest newspaper circulation in Britain

  • Blair needs to be educated in the real terrorist. he's a big shame.

  • "To put all the blame of the war on Tony Blair's shoulders is a technique to divert the attention from the real architects of the war"

No Tony Blair gets all the blame because he was Prime Minister. has Prime Minister he was responsible for his Government's actions and his words. He himself admits making a promise to support Bush one year before they invaded. He gets all the blame because without him we may not have ended up in an illegal war with blood on our hands.
