Some really great spots - but these young wrestlers look so nerdy in their baggy shorts & t-shirts. Why can't they just wear trunks like proper pro wrestlers do? They's show off their physiques better, & appear braver taking the bumps.

All of these wrestlers are wearing trunks but they ultimately control what they put on top of their trunks. Wrestlers who wear shirts: Mic Foley, Ian Rotten, MadMan Pondo, Brain Damage, CM Punk started out wearing a MisFits shirt, Shane O Mac, Ballz Mahoney, The Sandman, Mike Quackenbush, Hy Zaya, Chris Hero, Corp, 2 Tuff Tony, Homicide, Kintaro Kanemura, and so many others....guess they aren't proper pro wrestlers.

Naturally I didn't intend a slur on the skill or professionalism of any of the wrestlers you mention, but I think that a l l pro wrestlers, including those whom you cite above (though with the possible, and honourable, exception of Foley [!]) look better in just trunks. Wrestlers in trunks could never be confused with 15-year-old backyard wannabes, and they appear super-courageous whenever they perform high spots or take crazy bumps.

I agree with you. But it's not my decision on what they wear. For the record, I don't wear a shirt. JC wears one to promote the companies he works for. Simon, I don't know why he wears one. Cliffy's gimmick is a pothead so he wears different pot shirts. So that's really the only explaination I can give you man.
