  • You state in the video that your key light is set to 1/4 power and your fill flash is set to 1/64, and that is approx 2 stops lower. Surely if the fill is set to 1/64 then the fill is actually 4 stops lower than the key. Wouldn't that give you a pretty dramatic lighting ratio?

  • @ranjoharbri Normally yes, but the key light is actually bouncing off the fill umbrella too which means the fill flash unit needed to be lower than you would expect it to be.

  • I see, I suppose its doing this because you are working pretty close to the subject, the umbrellas are very close together and the shoot through umbrella is slightly reflective. Thank you very much for explaining.
