Salix Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:SLXP) reported Q4 EPS of $0.66, which came in ahead of consensus estimates for $0.49.
Total product revenue for the quarter grew 69% year-over-year to $118.5 million, while total product revenue for the full year rose 45% from 2009 to $337 million.
The company's attributed its 2010 revenue increases to the sales of its drugs, XIFAXAN and APRISO. Q4 performance was driven by strong prescription growth from both MOVIPREP and APRISO.
Salix anticipates 2011 revenues of approximately $520 million, or 54% growth over 2010's revenue.
