In this video, I show you how I color the stamped image I illustrated using Copic markers. Copic markers are a professional quality marker that are alcohol based. Here I demonstrate how I render caucasian skin tones, white hair and a red tones on a Santa hat. To see the cards I make with my stamped images, visit my blog at http://www.crissysartnheart.blogspot.com/
Thanks for looking today! God bless!

  • where did you get the santa stamp at?

  • @KraftyKatsy I drew this Santa image for High Hopes Rubber Stamps. You can look for it online. It's called, "Santa Portrait" by High Hopes Stamps.

  • artlover129 - the paper you choose is paramount to getting the results you want. Every paper type has a different quality to it -- some will let the ink soak into the fibre of the papers. Others will force the ink to sit more on the surface of the paper. You want a good combination of both qualities. If it soaks in too much, you get bleeding. If it sits on the surface too much, you get pooling of the ink. I just received some MakeItColour Blending card and so far I'd have to say it is the best!

  • When you use the markers to color, they dont leave marker streaks like the sharpie markers right?

  • @WickedKnight07 I have not tried Sharpies so I can't compare. Streaks are possible with Copics. Your stroke and the type of paper you use will minimize them or prevent them all together. Colouring in small circles and going very quickly over the area you are colouring is prevention. Use a great marker paper such as Manga Drawing Pad by Canson, Copic Xpress It paper or MakeItColour Blending Card in combination with the proper circular strokes, and you will not see any lines of demarcation.

  • I do have one more question though: what stamping ink and paper are you using?

  • @loungeblogger I'm using Memento Tuxedo Black ink by Tsukeneko, and Manga Drawing Pad 150 lb. paper by Canson.
