Opened in 1899. This rare footage was filmed in 1927 and 1934. The songs were also recorded inside the famous ballroom. They are:

Who's Taking You Home Tonight
The Flying Boston, Blaze Away
Allah - (recorded in 1922)
Sleep Baby Sleep - (recorded in 1929)
Can I Be Sure Of You - (recorded in 1934)
South American Joe - (recorded in 1935)
She's A Lassie From Lancashire (recorded in 1954)

  • Nice channel!! Where is this place located//>?

  • Blackpool, England.

  • Hi there,

A long time ago you had a movie that contained the footage from 3 minutes and 24 seconds onwards, again pertaining to the unforgettable Tower Ballroom. It mentioned 1927, the capacity, but had an enitrely different feel to the reel as a whole(more somber towards the end as the confetti fell). However it does not seem to be around anymore. Did you remove it or was it removed for you?

  • I still have it. The video is called: Dancing In The Famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom. I had to change the soundtrack on the older video for copyright reasons.

  • Exelent... Very good. What's is the song of 3:00?

  • Sleep Baby Sleep

  • It is still open today and it looks exactly the same. I have been there several times. The atmosphere is wonderful. It is supposed to be haunted.

  • @Aaron1912 Ah, that's mostly it! The original was "The Tower Ballroom (1927)", had so much more atmosphere though.

  • The picture of Bertini and the band at 3:00 is taken in the Spanish hall in the Winter Gardens. Horace Finch is on piano. He later became organist for the Empress Ballroom and Opera House.

  • Your channel is very interesting. Thank you very much!

  • i love the way the couples used to dance in waves.
