Produced in 1983 by Mark LoPresti while attending Buffalo State College, this commercial parody was a direct stab at the whole Ginsu Knife, Bamboo Steamer direct response marketing crazes of the early 80s. Sadly, the type of commercials it parodies still clog the airwaves to this day and Mark gets paid to make some of them! In fact, Armor Pot is clearly The George Foreman Grill at least a decade before it was ever a gleam in Foreman's eye. If you ask us, George stole the whole "toast your buns on top" concept from Armor Pot! • Actually, the toilet was cleaned before AND after the shoot using a generous supply of Saniflush. It was the early 1980s and a "conventionally dirty" toilet was a big no no. Today of course, not only would it have been left filthy dirty, we would have been expected to work in someone sitting there doing their "business".
