Chinchilla Barking

Possibly pregnant chin in a new foster home is very vocal.

She also now has a huge cage, like my other two, and is spoiled rotten. i let them out to play in a bigger fenced in area all the time and they get the best hay treats, chew-logs, dust, and fancy running wheels that you could imagine. Way better than most of the chins cages i see on here.

You know, you're right. However, I've changed the description. Because she wasn't barking because of the camera, she was barking because she was in a new environment. And that's why i grabbed my camera.

And I'll tell you what, being in my basement, with the company of two other well taken care of chinchillas is a MUCH better, less stressful scenario than where she came from. A room full of barking and whining dogs at the humane society. She is still very vocal and quite happy now with her baby

I agree with AdorkableAmb. If she was just adopted, she's going to be scared of her new environment, which is strange to her. On top of that, she's pregnant and doesn't yet trust you. Sticking the camera in her face, is just going to take her longer to trust you and get comfy.I know this was a while ago, but consider it advice for the next time you adopt a Chinchilla or anyone who wants to adopt and wants your Chinchilla to trust you.

Maybe you shouldnt be video taping it then if the camera stresses it out. Terrible if its pregnant too. :(
