please visit http://www.jimrichter.com for more about me

A little over 15 years ago I became aware of Dave Specter, a fabulous guitarist from Chicago on one of my all time favorite blues labels, Delmark. His album with Barkin Bill left me wanting more--the next album with Tad Robinson gave me what I needed.

Blueplicity is a tune I learned several years ago on guitar from the album of the same name (I learned several tunes off that album). I dig Dave's phrasing and tried to keep some of that in this mandolin rendition.

Dave--I hope you enjoy. I've talked to Tad about recording a mandolin centered version of Sweet Serenity for my solo album.
