  • how long do you need to carbonate the beer and at what psi?

  • @homebrewerkyle 10-12 psi for about 3-4 days will do fine. You can adjust the psi and time a bit to change how carbonated it is. The psi and time can change depending on the temperature of the fridge you're storing it in. Most fridges are running 42-45 F which is perfect for the 10-12 psi pressure. If you find it over-carbonated, just lower the psi and let the excess pressure out. Let it sit for a day and check. You can add a little pressure if it's under-carbonated. Good luck!

  • I have one of these Lilliput kegs but the handle broke from the air valve. What do you think on using it with natural conditioning, should I use normal cask pegs inside the rubber bung or make do with the half a valve which remains? My concern iss I'll get confused at some point and pop the valve into the beer without being able to reseal it. Or is there another way?

  • @TheBeebopper Not sure I follow....I may have to see a picture on this one;).

  • Hello tlgrimmy. I would really like to build exactly what you built in your video. Can I ask you to go into further detail about the actual parts you used to build the fittings atop of your keg? Maybe a detailed parts list? I want to go your route because I already have the CO tank and don't want to spend 70 odd dollars for that party tap system they offer. I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance.

  • @sydney53rd Thanks for the interest! Actually I stole this idea from another guy who did an excellent job documenting the process, parts list, links and all. Go to northernbrewer dot you know what and click the "forum" tab at the top, use the search bar to search for "mini keg system" and click the first search result that comes up. Once there, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "page 1" to start at the beginning of the entry. Good luck!

  • @tlgrimmy I meant what you said, a mini-keg. I've got hold of a plain bung assembly, so no half broken venting valve to worry about now. I'll just need to vent (if necessary) through the tap by laying back the keg. It's new kit to me and I'm just avoiding trouble if I can. I'm used to polycasks and glass bottles.

  • Yeah....thats the only drawback with your system.......but still awesome dude! Happy brewing.
