Simulation has long been a significant and powerful force for the improvement of manufacturing operations. It is used to learn more about the actual system behavior, to effectively manage risks associated with changing the system, and to explore new policies and operating procedures without disrupting the ongoing operations.
No longer content to risk unforeseen problems and capital losses on manual calculations, more and more manufacturers have found computer simulation to be a necessary ingredient in the evaluation of intricate plant systems from concept development to operational refinements.
