  • I want to hear a Daivd Bowie/Aretha Franklin collab album. I feel like it could work

  • lol love aretha she sounds country too

  • Aretha is a perfectly beautiful woman.

  • @redbuckatl Your right. During this time Aretha was trying to expand her market to a more adult contemporary pop idiom. Natalie is a very talent singer with a clear voice, great tone and good ear (hell she's Nat King Cole's daughter...great genes). With her gospel/soul producers, she definitely captured some marketshare from Aretha during the mid to late 70s.

  • Wow I have never seen Aretha so upbeat and excited. Because she is usually laid back in any situation. But she is beautiful and glowing here like the Queen that she is. And how in the world did her remark about "this is so good I could kiss David Bowie" become any kind of an issue. Some people are soo petty. They will try to turn nothing into something everytime. It was just something that came out of her mouth in her excitement. Nothing more, nothing less...

  • who knew in couple of moths a voice of equal electric spender would burst out and turn music alignments upside down- that force was Natalie Cole!

  • @taddyd1 THAT IS SO SO SAD THAT SOME PEOPLE'S RACIST MINDS WOULD GO THERE SIMPLY BECAUSE THIS PRECIOUS, BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMAN MADE A STATEMENT LIKE THAT. WHO EVER WAS OFFENDED AT THAT IS A SICK PUPPY.

    RACISM IS MENTAL ILLNESS.
