Shell should be found guilty. I don't buy gas from Shell. They care nothing about the african people. I hope they were found guilty.

@dinnerandashow I'll have to take your word for it. Unfortunately I didn't make a note of my own source, I just remembered its content. The reason I remembered it was that I was surprised. I think the Asians, particularly Indians, also excel in the UK too.

What you know is false. I saw that very news report by one journalist, unsupported by anyone else.
I researched it and it turned out to be false. He compared one ethnic group with other "races", not one ethnic group against other ethnic groups. Top turned out to be a Asian ethnicity, I forget which one.

@dinnerandashow Well I do know that the latest research on educational achievement in the US shows that the Nigerians are in fact the most successful of all ethnic groups. It's a self-selected group as they are in fact also from the wealthiest backgrounds. But it shows that they can do well. The problem seems to me that globally we are facing catastrophe. The religious fundamentalists appear nearer than ever to their dream of killing everyone including themselves, just to prove their point.

Hmmm... does not explain away anything. All nations suffered wars. Some never get over it.
You only managed to prove that these people are incompetent at creating a civilized society.
-
@dinnerandashow Actually, it's at least 1,400 years that the Nigerians have suffered conquest and enslavement. But hey, that would be 'politically incorrect' because then you are talking about Islam and racist Arabs. Who ever needed facts to be racist.

@JesusDillinger Agreed

@milackk7 Corporate legal protections are supposed to protect people from civil liability so that people will take the risks associated with doing things that only a corporation can(a very dubious protection in my opinion).
Corporate protections are not supposed to protect people from murder charges. This is corruption and organized crime. The NY court that is hearing the case is complicit because they are going along with the sham.
-
@JesusDillinger Agreed: however, we (in the US) are a big proponent of Corporate Personalization. We have granted Corporations the same rights as individuals, which gives them powers they shouldn't have. Nigerian oil should be owned and run by Nigerians. And Democracy should enable them to share the wealth - not just the fat cats of greed who are in the pockets of foreign nations. These extreme poor people are forced into poverty, and foreign nations ensure this, then create this: EKO Atlantic
screw all oil companies
