A seismic shot in December 2008 of 500 kg of ANFO (ammonium nitrate fuel oil) at an elevation of 790 m on the lower slope of Mt Terror near Cape Crozier. The shot was one of 16 detonated in Dec 2008 as part of an active source seismic study to image the conduit under the lava lake and the deeper structure under Erebus volcano.

  • Jesus. That's a lot of NOx

  • You guys are clearly not using enough fuel oil. The smoke is practically red with NO2's, so you're blowing up some very positive mixtures.

    94/6 shouldn't give out such a coloration.
