Every time i remember this song,it is the events of fighting bosses and the huge monsters in the cave where you fight bahamut god of the summons.
Remember the red and blue dragons in the final dungeon? they got alot of hp but once you have all the weapons in FFIV advance,they are easy.

My favorite use was with the Dark Elf. He starts to kill you under this music, then you get the harp music for the easy part of the battle, then this music starts again and suddenly there's this feeling of "Oh shit! This really IS going to be a tough battle!"
Honestly I think the Dark Dragon should have been even tougher with a whole lot more HP so it would be a very hard and LONG fight. That would set the mood perfectly.
