This is my third video in a series offering information on how to get started as a Super Audio CD

enthusiast. In this video, I offer detailed information on how to enjoy and get the best out of a Super

Audio CD Multichannel playback system. I discuss hooking up an SA-CD Player for Multichannel

listening, as well as the equipment needed to get the best out of your Multichannel System.

  • @superaudiocdman Thanks

  • @RichRobinson I will give the 84dB a try and see what happens. Thanks.

  • @mchamp3802 I wish I could comment more on DVD-Audio, but I have had limited exposure to the format. I am sure that it certainly brings a much more enveloping and enjoyable experience than traditional CD.

  • i guess the loseless comprossion technic makes the 24bit samples so small that it averagely fits in just 1 bit ,to save space and to make room for more data.

and it has more layers for extra data.

as cd,s store their samples in uncompressed 16bit.

    and has only 1 layer.

  • or Low Frequency Effects (channel)

  • also, 84dB is a good reference level to set up your system as this is the volume used to master for music and film in post production and audio mastering facilities. this is because this is where the human ear is most balanced in relation to the fletcher/munson curve.

  • LFE - Low Frequency Emitter.

    :)

  • I wish I could say more about DVD Audio, but my experience with it is limited. There are however some very good discs out there I am sure. Tacet, which is a classical label, is know for some outstanding DVD Audio discs.
