I have a cribber. She is out on pasture most of the year. Even with a round bale in the field she will go to a post and crib. I would consider something that will teach her that it is a bad behaviour so that she didn't have to wear a collar all year round. And them saying it is fatal is true. Cribbing can cause intestinal issues. So before you judge and say that cribbing is not harmful do your homework. It is.

Don't you love the language? Words like pain and electric shock are not used. "unpleasant reminder" "a small static charge" Never ceases to amaze me how cruel humans can be.

i do not think that this is a bad product, in fact if i was to have a horse that cribbed or windsucked, i would buy it, we all (or most people) have or have used electrical fences, the voltage is less, and your horse will not colic and die... really to me, if it works, and i do not have to choke my horse or rub his hair off and he will not colic and die, he can have little zap once or twice,

that is so mean. my horse cribbs and the coller i put on him just pinches a lil bit but still stops it. what is the point in shocking the horse when there is a MUCH nicer way?.idiots...

@horsescanter i think they're saying it's not a chemical hormone but a bad habit learned over time. With this theory in mind, they are giving a negative reaction to when it cribs, leading it not to crib. This is similar to dog collars.

this can put the horse into shock by putting static charges on they necks. if you know that horses who crib/windsuck it is caused by a chemical hormone in their bodies. like people hormones you cant stop them it is just natural to their bodies. i think the only way to cure the chemical release is to use a expensive injection of hormones or natrual turnout... NOT ELECTRICAL CURRENTS.

I must point out that there is no sure fire scientific evidence to confirm that crib-biting or wind-sucking are learnt behaviours, and to call these behaviours fatal is a poor attempt at marketing. I am disappointed to see that these devices use a form of punishment on behaviours that the horse is clearly motivated to display possibly as a result of its environment.
