  • I saw them live and Dick Valentine came out alone on stage to play this as the encore.

And a bunch of drunk fat people kept interrupting him to shout "PLAY DANCE EPIDEMIC". Fuck those guys.

  • backstreet's back alright!

  • @crounimich

It's from a pome by William Butler Yeats titled "The Second Comin" which ends with the line "What rough beast slouches toward Bethlehem to be born?" Look it up and read it, it's da shizzle.

  • "Slouching," here, means slinking, creeping, or sneaking. GREAT song. Dick Valentine is a genius.

  • Corners of my Asshole

  • fuuuuuuuuuk im from poland and YET i feel this song relates to my childchood and my hmm life? i was born in 1984...

  • @steelassassin666 maybe so, but even Joan Didion was was referencing the W B Yeats poem, "The Second Coming"

  • @crounimich these are the lines (last line) from WB Yeat's poem - second coming. There...it means that a change (in form of sphinx) is ready to arrive..

  • Clearly the best song ever to have the lyrics "Backstreet's back, alright"

  • I love this song so much. :'] Electric Six are soooo underrated. They're amazing and I wish I had a pair of electric underwear! xD

  • slouch (slouch)

    v. slouched, slouch·ing, slouch·es

    v.intr.

    1. To sit, stand, or walk with an awkward, drooping, excessively relaxed posture.
