Old Flowmaster system was falling off. Stack cost me $25 and the 300 straight piped sounds pretty good. Going to redo it with a 3" piece of stainless steel and a stainless steel slotted guard later.

  • Now running dual 3" stacks in the bed. No cash for the rain caps so I just threw some turnouts in them.

  • you should cut that little pipe off right as it goes underneath the bed and come out from underneath with a 4" straight stack, it'll sound alot more better. it'll go from sounding like a farm tractor to sounding alot more meaner with a deeper growl

  • @eriksf250 - It will also kill exhaust velocity as soon as it hits the 4" pipe.

Though I am finally breaking down and putting 2 stacks in the bed instead of the one on the outside, video to follow.

  • You ever shift a well used M5R2 5-Speed tranny? Can't shift too fast, the syncros don't like that. Plus I normally use the old trick of tapping the gas and disengaging the gear and then clutching for the upcoming gear. You want to shift a truck tranny like a car, then you'll find yourself dropping your transmission more often then needed.

  • I'll have to get a video on Thanksgiving of it with the "cut down" stack...and of course one after I get teh solid axle and 6" lift in place...and one after the turbo setup goes in :D

  • do a youtube search for a 250 n/a cummins straight pipe and listen to it, sounds almost the same

  • @eriksf250 - That's because it's a 6 banger :D Six in a row makes it go!

as long as you have that small exhaust on there, going from the small exhaust to 4" will not hurt it. the smaller exhaust will keep the back pressure and the larger exhaust will give it the "big rig" tone vs. the farm tractor sound from the smaller exhaust

  • How is the gas mileage with the 3 inch stacks? When you are you going to have a new video of the truck with the 3 inch stacks?

  • @thanatos103 post videos!!!!

  • Thats Badass man I gotta try that on my truck.

  • damn have you replaced the clutch in that truck yet cause you sure do ride the clutch llike a grandma
