  • Degenerates a bit towards the end, eh? Not surprising though as Mathias is definitely outnumbered -- not to mention out-gunned (by the facts). Still, he's to be applauded for hanging around for as long as he did. The conversation that resulted was certainly valuable (more valuable than the film).

Thanks a lot for posting this, deBeuk!

  • "How do you get another view in?"

    Simple, make a legitimate claim.

  • i like this analogy

  • Atheism is a religion as much as bald is a hair colour.

  • blah, blah, blah

I think my brain just died.

  • Mathis proved the depth of his idiocy when he says "Atheism is a religion", and claims it is a set of beliefs. Atheism is a LACK of belief in a god or creator of any kind, it's that simple, and it is NOT a religion.

  • This couldn't possibly be more uncomfortable. This Mathis fellow pretends to be fighting for science to be more open, and effective, but he sleights science over and over. He makes the case against himself brilliantly.

  • "It's a silly analogy, I don't understand it."

Yeah, clearly. You lack any bit of critical thought Mr. Mark Mathis. The door of science is open to any god who can verify their existence scientifically. The scientific principles are not based on the philosophy of scientists, but on nature's inherent traits themselves. Pisses me off to no end...haha
