"Walking down the street in New Orleans, there's always a horn or someone singing or someone playing a guitar. It's a completely different experience. So of course someone like Jay Electronica has to come from New Orleans, that completely makes sense," said Mike Chav, Jay's sound engineer.

"I like to remind people of where I'm from so they can have a better understanding of the circumstances that produced me," said Jay Electronica.

"When I first heard him rhyme, I was just blown back by the mental images that his words would give you. To me, that's the mark of a great writer," said Mike Chav.
