If you were to iincrease an amount by 11% what would i multiply by?

Also if i were to decrease by 17% what would i multiply by?

  • @uphill248 , divide 19.40 by 100. this will give you 1% . times that number by 2 for 2%

    19.40 / 100 = 0.194

    0.194 x 2 = 0.39

39 pence or cents cashback :)

you can roughly check this because if 39p is 2 % - if you times that by 50 ( to get 100% ) it gives you roughly 19.40 which is your original number

(2% of 19.40 actually gives you 0.388 but obviously you dont get that in normal currencies so must be rounded!! :] )
