Marina Filiba is an 18-year-old Argentine freshman at Yale University. Currently the International Director of the I Am Challenge charity organisation, Filiba manages regional directors of the I Am Challenge in over 13 countries. The I Am Challenge is a youth led initiative challenging young people to wear the same t-shirt for one year, raising funds for and volunteering for a cause in their community that they are passionate about. Simultaneous to her work with the I Am Challenge, Marina is also the President of the Argentine Club on campus and deeply interested in the way different cultures relate both within the University context and on a global scale.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
