Whistler First Night 2008 New Year's Eve Family Event. Captured entirely using Nokia N95 & edited with Apple's iMovie.
Vancouver had plenty of new year's eve events, but all of them were only for 18+ or older. We really didn't want to just hire a babysitter to celebrate the new year. Instead we wanted to involve our 2 year old daughter. First Night Whistler was the only alcohol-free, family-friendly new year's eve event that allowed us to bring our daughter, so off we went, and we definitely weren't disappointed, especially when seeing our daughter's delighted face when she saw the fireworks. People are super friendly in Whistler (yes, even friendlier than in Vancouver).
Looks like First Night Whistler will be an annual pilgrimage for us from now on :-)
