In this video, International Living Panama editor Jessica Ramesch reports from the city of David in Panama. Jessica interviews Stephen Hyland, who has just opened a boutique café in David.

Thirty-three-year-old Stephen, who is originally from Ireland, has already traveled the globe and worked in a few different countries. Here, he discusses his reasons for choosing David for his latest venture, Da-Li. His first boutique café, Da-Li is a place for art, events, dining and more. Stephen says the small town of David is one of the best places in Panama to start a new business, because it is small, relatively affluent, a hub for expats in the province of Chiriqui, and because there are many niches to fill.
