Of course they were cheering. How can anyone not be happy for a guy like Randy Johnson to get his 300th win. He's the best non-steroid player in the steroid era of baseball.
I find it sad that when Randy Johnson makes history, there is a low attendence for that game. Like when he got his perfect game at Turner field, it was only 40% capacity.
They're the Washington Nationals. They never win games anyways. And many people behind the home dugout were rooting for the Nationals for most of the game, but switched to rooting for history after the game went out of reach.
