Ironically enough I suppose, another song that shares this air is "Come Out Ye Black And Tans" by Dominic Behan.

@marryapersonality It's not really ironic, both traditons have been adding their own lyrics to traditional melodes to suit their own political agenda. I think Boyne Water was written quite a few years before the Black and Tans were even thopught of however

yes greg there are many variations of this tune however the traditional version which would have been played on a Fife is closer to this than most bands play nowadays.
