Pieces? Jeez that film was the worse ive ever seen!

The problem is everything has already been done in the horror genre. Re-makes are inevitable.

I agree, I always thought 'Let Me In' sounds demanding too, like someone is standing at the door shouting: '"let me in!" Like the girl is forcing the boy to let her in. While Let the Right One In is such a beautiful, meaningful title, really one of the most beautiful book/movie titles I heard. It sticks in your head. It's more catchy then the short variant. I have kind of a love/hate thing with Let Me In, it's a well made movie, but it pales when compared to Let the Right One In.

………appears to be a police officer investigating the killings. The worst thing of course is changing the title from ‘Let the right one in’ to the dumbed down ‘Let me in’. The phrase ‘Let the right one in’ infers so many meanings from the horrific to the romantic. ‘Let the right one in’ ….to your heart, to change your world, your reality. Whereas ‘Let me in’ sounds more demanding, childish and stupid, fitting in to a dumb Americanized attitude to what the movie’s all about.

Totally agree with you. America just doesn't take chances with big budget movies. It's lazy of course, but makes economic sense. Let some filmmakers in Europe or Asia take a chance, be creative and come up with innovative original films which gather momentum. You're also right in that it diminishes the accomplishment of that original film by remaking it and 'f***ing' around with it. I can already see from the U.S. Trailer that they're messing with the plot somewhat - now there........

Just saw the trailer for Let Me In WOW looks like a horror film
i absolutly agree with you! i just found out this like 15min ago. I'm so angry! This movie is a masterpiece, it's taken Tomas Alfredson 2 years to make this beautiful film, an look at the way it's treated, i'm just so F*****g angry! great independent movies just get ripped apart by mainsteam assholes thinking they can somehow make it more appealing to american audience's, this is exactly what happened to REC They even delayed the release of [REC] on DVD just so Quarentine could be released first

Yea- I found that out months back-but it is now in production, Americans really love to F up great films..Take all the great asian horror we seem to slaughter. dont get me started on all these remakes-of movies that are good-i dont know what has happened to hollywood over the last 15 -20 yrs..but they need to get it together.

First off, haven't seen the movie yet, but just finished reading "Let The Right One In", and the book is absolutely terrific. Loved every single page of it. I've been hearing great things about the movie, so that's next on my list.
Your rant is well deserved. Studios have no problem ripping something great to shreds if it makes a quick buck. However, as mentioned, the problem isn't them, it's us. They'll remake-sequel-prequel anything as long as us mouth-breathers keep buying tickets.

The movie was really well done--not really a horror filmm but it had its elements. Hollywood is half to blame, the other half is the people that are brainwashed into seeing these films, people need to open their minds and think for themselves, stop watching what hollywood tells "us" is good or "cool". thanks for the comment!
