Passengers were seen scrambling onto the wings of the plane, a US Airways Airbus A320, as it was swept down-stream by the icy current.

it's amazing how fast those river ferries got out there...3 of them were by the plane within 10 minutes! They were lucky it was the Hudson river they landed in, one of the busiest rivers in the USA, Rescue response time was VERY quick because of that. Cudos for the pilot and crew too, that's a hell of a landing!
the driver of the first one probably called it in, and the others got there before any real emergency responce teams did (like the coast guard) they deffiently deserve some recognition for that
