transportation of Boston, USA.
The Boston transportation system includes roadway, rail, air, and sea options for passenger and freight transit. The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) operates the Port of Boston, which includes a container shipping facility in South Boston, and Logan International Airport in East Boston. The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) operates bus, subway, short distance rail, and water ferry passenger services throughout the city and region.
-
Trolleybuses, Buses, 3 different colored subway lines (notice red, orange, and blue trains representing the line) and the light trail system (known as tram but not really because it hardly integrates with the street..)
-
This video will make any mbta fan happy!

  • I'm a retired subway train conductor from the NYCTA MTA. New York stopped running trolleys over 50 years ago. Wish we'd kept them.

  • i never understood why they mixed old cars with new ones

  • Even the trains from the 80's here in Chicago looks 20 years ahead of these.

    Step ur game up Boston!

  • T is suck in the big time!

  • @wrrn411 Least its better than listening to screeching sound of the train tracks...

  • PLEASE LOOSE THE AWEFUL MUSIC!!

  • @mfastx This much is known....

    1) The current fleet of Subway Cars on the Blue Line replaced an aging fleet from the late 1970's in 2008/2009.

    2) The Orange Line is expecting a Delivery of NEW Subway Cars around 2012-15. The current fleet has been in service since 1981.

    3) Unconfirmed - The Red Line may have more on order later this decade.

    4) The Current Green Line Fleet is from 1986 (Japan) to 2000/2001 (Italy)

    5) NEW Articulated Busses have been put into service & more are on the way.

  • great vid, nicely done. boston has a great system, though i wish they would update their rail cars, those look out of date. buses look great though!

  • @timosha21 Yeah I know what you are saying. Realistically Phoenix is still a young city and I can't expect the same kind of transit system here.

  • Man I am jealous all we have in Phoenix is a mediocre bus system with one light rail line. Big friggin whoop
