I know you posted this a year ago but Klotzli dose use the high end steels. My Walker 05 is of ATS-34. You need to check out some of their other models. The one being talked about here in this video is one of their less expensive knives I would put Klotxli on par with any of the top builders.
I have one just like that just partially serrated and titanium liner. It's pretty good, I wouldn't say it's the best out there but very good, I still don't know why they don't use 154CM or VG-10 or ATS-34 steel being that these knives are costly, you don't really get what you pay for in my opinion and I have a Klotzli it cost me $180.00. I'd buy another one if they use better steel. Great review by the way

Klotzli knives are top quality, the finest Spyderco ever produced was manufactured by Klotzli and called the Michael Walker C22.

I've handled a few Klotzli knives and have always been very impressed. They certainly deserve a bigger market in the US.
