  • in the end sheer cubic capity is what ends up making all that horsepower when you throw the whole "AMERICAN V8" in peoples faces. what a true measure of an engines efficiency is horsepower per litre.

  • @sidewaysstarion what was the last motor you built? without torque there is less parts breakage, without torque there are more transmission options, without torque there is not as much wheelspin, I could go on but I think you get the point, there are advantages to having less torque. this motor is reliable, thats the point reliable and plentiful, and quick in a gen 2 supra!

  • What was done to the motor to achieve 410 hp ?

  • its whatever your into drag racing the american muscle rules in v8 category but if I'm road racing and drifting I'm taking that quad cam short stroke v8 because i want something that can stay in a high rpm and rev up fast and thats light and perfectly balanced I'm pretty sure they didn't rate this motor in top 10 best engines 1998-2000 for nothing or that TRD was going to put it there gt500 car so idk it has to have some kind of potential lol

  • @laurence265 HP/L may be a measurement of some strange irrelevant form of efficiency, but why does it relevant to anyone? i would rather have a lighter weight engine, with more torque, and more fuel efficiency. an engine that makes less HP per litre is running at a less stressed capacity. now that is an efficiency that concerns me. with appropriate gearing, a lower revving engine can perform identically to a differently geared high-revver, which makes its high revving nature USELESS

  • @R955 Don't want to burst your bubble but the current leading Le Mans Racecar is a Diesel...

  • I think this sounds great, kind of like the old Daytona vid game :) im a big fan of N/A short stroke engines & rotaries, im not too fussed with overly gigantic power figures i'd personally rather have fun with screamin high revz than a low rev torque monster but each to their own hey.

  • would love to drop in a 5.7liter tundra motor into a MKIV supra and add a big cam with full ported heads and a high revving valve train setup so it'll hit 9k rpms....

  • @laurence265 thus rotaries win.

  • My piece of shit Integra can beat that thing CUZ i got B00ST!!!.HaHAHA!

  • @titan56l supra from hell unff said

  • @blahblop123

Oh I almost forgot, ZO6 Carbon Edition brake official record by 10 secs only using MSRC (magnetic ride) suspension system. Also New 2012 ZR1 brake old 7:26 record, and set new 7:19:63. I must say, ZR1 is for me best US car ever made. ZR1 is on my wish list. Great numbers for Corvettes, even better for Chevy engineers.
