Nicole Scherzinger was visibly upset when Rachel Crow went home. How is she?
Nicole mustered up the courage to speak to us after the show and had this to say about the emotional moment that Rachel got the bad news: "I saw her eyes, and they got really big, and just my heart dropped. In that moment. I feel like I let her go and let her down. But I've been there many times for Marcus, but at the end of the day I just couldn't make the decision." Check out our exit interview and video with Rachel here to see how she's doing.
What can you tell us about next week's Pepsi Challenge performance?
We can't tell you much -- don't want to spoil it! But THE X FACTOR head choreographer Brian Friedman is super psyched about it. He says, " I'm really excited because there's a couple big [songs] in there that seem like they could be epic productions some of them involving dancers, some of them not involving dancers, some of them being that glamorous, gorgeous winning moment look of a performance."
Rachel Crow did standup comedy shows, what?!
Well, we'll let Rachel tell you more. "I was about 10 and it was just like funny stuff that had happened in my life, and about my adoption, and how I was born and stuff like that. I just loved the fact that I could get up in front of people and make fun of myself, so I was good," she told us.
What was Chris Rene' s original song about?
"Where Do We Go From Here" is a song Chris wrote two years ago with his brother, Gabriel Rene. "The song is about people," he told us after the show. "It's about the world. It's about the way of the world, how the world works, what's going on. It's kind of like a Marvin Gaye, 'What's Going On.' It's a similar look at life, people and how things work, and that's who I wrote it for, I wrote it for the world. I love the song. It touches my heart, and what mattered most to me was it touched my heart. And knowing that it was a risk and nobody has ever heard it, yeah, who does an original song you know what I mean? I'm like, I do. I'm a songwriter. I've got to do this. For survival, I was like this is it."
What else did Stevie Wonder say to Chris Rene on that call?
"That was an amazing moment," he told us. "He was saying people like us, singers like us, we bring people together. That's our job. I've known that for a long time, but to hear him say that, to hear Stevie Wonder say that is just confirmation that just made me feel so blessed to be in this position, to be where I am, to have done what I've done and to be doing what I'm doing right now."
Did Josh Krajcik ever think he'd ever cover Rihanna's "We Found Love?"
The rocker even surprised himself on that one! He explained, "At the beginning of this competition I had no idea that I would do a Rihanna song. Oddly enough, it was my call. I wanted to do it. I think it's a great song. I think it's dark and uplifting, and it's something I can relate to. So I tried to make it my own. I wanted to add some strings in there, make it a little bit different, change the chording around, and I'm really happy with it."
How did the semi-finalists like performing two songs this week?
We asked them all that very question, and here's what Melanie Amaro, for one, had to say: "There are so many changes. It's like, one moment they're like 'we need you' and the next they're like 'we don't need you' and then it's 'we need you again.' So it's a lot, so you just got to really roll with it. I mean I had to practice a whole new different song in the past 24 hours!"
After being in the bottom two for two weeks in a row, how were Marcus Canty's nerves going into Wednesday night?
"Well," answered Marcus, "obviously, after the bottom two nobody feels good, and I was in two of them! I could have gone home, so this moment for me was just incredible. It was my moment to come out and show that I wasn't scared. Obviously I was nervous about doing this, but it was my moment to come out and show people that I'm a fighter, like [mentor L.A. Reid] said, Muhammad Ali, I'm a fighter man, and I'm going to fight for this $5 million!"
Simon said Rachel Crow chose "Nothin' On You" by Bruno Mars. Why did she choose it?
Sure, it's a song by a guy about a girl, but as Rachel joked on air, she was singing it for Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. How cute is that? But, as for the song choice, "Yes, the first song I did choose and I loved it very much. That's all I have to say. I'm just very happy with it. I did my best."

Rachel is NOT a brat. She is the polar opposite of a brat. She is good hearted and uber talented.
