@fauveandy Thks for the info, I just googled the title of the photo to know more about the story & turned out that girl had some mental problems & her mom (don't know if she's her biological mother??) could do nothing to control her actions!

@theblackmoonofghost the picture was taken by Mary Ellen Mark, an american photographer. It's called Amanda and her cousin Amy. I dont remember the whole story but I think Mary Ellen Mark followed this little girl (Amanda) for a while. Amanda had big family troubles and had to live with other families who took care of her.

@1canadiangrl I'm curious about the story as well. I know everyone here is saying it's such a cool picture, & call me a goody two shoes if you want but I find it just... wrong. Maybe it will be less so if I know the story behind it?
