I live in Northern VA, and I thought it was just a big Semi passing by XD but it was the first earthquake out of 4 that I've actually been awake for haha.

walls in my basement are like 2 feet thick,I guess that's how they built houses back in the 1800's or something. I didn't feel the quake at all but everyone else sure did.

HAD A 4.2 (THAT'S RICHTER) TODAY! Crap! Wall, Then pictures started moving and then BOOM! X1....Then Gone! People that live by where the Space Shuttle landed Knows that Double Sonic Boom it makes before landing. This Quake was Twice that sound!

Bro... out here in Cali we qet quakes all the time. It's a trip when your indoors standing when they hit. It makes you feel really vulnerable.

I grew up partially in Seattle and California (Nazifornia) so I've had my share of quakes, first one is always the worst. I've slept through a 7.3 (thought my brother was jumping on the bed) and the 6.8 Nisqually Quake was especially knarly because I was on the 11th floor.

Official word from the USGS is, it was NOT an earthquake. Rosie Odonnell slipped and fell in the shower.
