This aired again tonight on the eve of passing lousy watered down bill and it is so sad this provocative comment (which I agree 95%) that Keith Olberman is one of just a handful of mainstream media with courage to take on the cause of health care as a human right. This is not to say people don't need to get off their fat ass and take some responsibility for what choices they make in life. Need prevention and alternative modalities in some type of single payer system based on ability to pay

My skin crawls reading people's opposition to gov't intervention into health care. Do the letters USPS ring a bell? Well, why can gov't be charged with mail, is mail more important than health? Then UPS, DHL, Fed-Ex give us alternative. If you think politicians are corrupt-ELECT ONES U TRUST! DEMOCRACY! I left the U.S. in 2007.Now I live in Germany-they treat u as a human here. Yes, I want to laugh at Americans who have such ignorant views but can not. So it is a violation of civil liberties to make it law to have health insurance? So much that making people have car insurance is. We can allocate tax money for everything from wars(justified or not), public roads, politicians health care.Get my drift?It is not communism guys. I now live in Europe and use and love their system! It works, make it work. Don't like it, reform it. HEALTH CARE FOR ALL!

Agreed. The Gov has no business forcing me or anyone else to purchase health insurance. I don't need big brother to hold my hand and wipe my ass. I'm in control of my own destiny. The Government has screwed up every single program they have started beyond repair. Just look at the USPS, Medicaid/Medicare, Social Security, and even Cash for Clunkers. The list is too long to continue...

If you were a lil honest.. or thoughtful, you would mention that under the public option.. you would have to take the public option or keep your own insurance. If you decide not to get either, you going to the emergency woul drive up our prices, that's why you get charged

And again, it would be handy if you had read the details for yourself on the bills that show "public option" has mandates to force you into health care insurance or pay additional taxes.

If you have the bill HR 3200 it would be on page 110 since you don't believe me!

And again.. didn't YOU know that your Democrat buddies voted overwhelmingly to support the war, and then each year to fund the wars, and even NOW support funding the wars!

depending on how they make the bill. If it's a public option, then it'll be paid for by the people that use it.. much like how we pay our insurance company.

The only real difference they'll be is... one insurance company is federal :).
