There were a lot of hard reps before the stick broke. But even if it breaks, your check hand is there to divert the rest of the attack.

The staff snapped the stick in half, that was funny shiz!!! good thing the feeder had control but it was hard and real, first hand. Now im worried to block in case the stick breaks i might get hit lol!!! Pulling off medio blocks against true strikes is no a walk in the park, and these guys make it funcional in training and sparring! Great Caleb! beginner? galing mo talaga, congrats!

It is truly an honor to be associated with Bahalana Multi-Style.
The video above is a reflection of the great teachers we are fortunate enough to train with. They make you appreciate the roof block very early. Thanks Guys!

That's what I'm talking about! Caleb hjust passed the beginners phase of the Bahala Na Multi-style curriculum and he is pretty functional under multible heavy strikes. Let the truth be told! This is the way Leo would have wanted it! No fancy twirling, just in your face, hold your ground, Bahala Na style block and counter!

A nice and honest posting of how to use a simple technique like the Roof Block to save your life! Simplicity is truly the key to success in combat. Thank you Manong Leo and thanks to all the Bahala Na Multi-Style for preserving Manong Leo's teachings and legacy. Peace!
