Eat a Peach is a 1972 double album by the American Southern rock group The Allman Brothers Band; it was the last to include founding member and lead slide-guitar player Duane Allman, who was killed in a motorcycle accident in October 1971, while the album was being recorded.
This album came close on the heels of their breakthrough At Fillmore East (1971) set and featured live tracks that did not make it onto that album, including boogie classic "One Way Out" and two entire album sides devoted to "Mountain Jam", a 33-minute improvisation based around Donovan's song "There Is a Mountain." !!!

  • @designermite :-)) Greetings from Greece.!

  • Around '71 or '72, my father worked as a propane service man / driver. He was on call one weekend, and received a phone call at midnight or after from the answering service that a customer needed propane at Country Gas (Maple Shade, NJ). Pissed off, he got out of bed, went to Country Gas where a Winnebago full of long haired southern men awaited.... you can guess the rest..... They were congenial, apologetic and left a nice tip according to my since deceased dad- those Allmans.....

  • @mellotronage Yeeaaah.! Amazing story.!

  • Around 06:15 to 07:07 sounds scary, like something from a horror film. But, it's all so cool. Pity music today isn't like this.

  • @Dac719 :-)) I agree.!

  • Who is Donovan? I mean compared to the Allman Brothers. If it weren't for them no one would know his name.
