Hands off Winwick: Villagers protest against proposed wind farm in Winwick, Northamptonshire. Our tiny village is being forced to spend tens of thousands on professional experts in the fight against international energy giant E.on who, not having supplied information requested by Daventry District Council, have now gone directly to appeal on the grounds of non-determination.
The site chosen is quite unsuited to a windfarm: the scale of the proposed turbines is quite out of keeping with the small scale domestic landscape of ancient fields and hedges. Turbine towers would dwarf our historic listed buildings and desecrate our much- and widely-loved countryside regularly used by walkers and riders.
We have been fighting this proposal for well over two years already - we will never give up.

They may be a "big" company, but they are not "big" enough to come out and face the people's whose lives they will make a misery with their profiteering.
