Affirmation's Assistant Executive Director George Cole posted to Twitter and Facebook "basic theological differences with Mormonism being what they are, I can't keep this up forever." A lively discussion followed on Facebook, which begged some explanation. This is what he has to say about it.

Hi George. As a very active LDS wife and mother and I want you to know that my husband and I have discussed how we will react if one of our children is gay. We would never throw a child out for being gay or for any reason. It is so important for mainstream members of the church to sit down and have candid conversations with people who have had your experience and receive the spiritual gift of compassion and reject judgement. You are extremely tolerant and patient. I admire that.
