  • how often do u replace this?

  • @NIZZAN09 Infiniti recommends replacement every 105k , but doing it every 60k is better IMHO

  • torque at the minimum torque spec if the threads are coated with anything like anti-seize or oil.

  • Did you use Infiniti stock spark plugs? Also is it really necessary to have a ratchet with LBs setting on it? How important is that when it comes to tighting up the spark plugs? Would like to know cuase its about time for my plugs to be changed.

  • In this case, the customer decided to use aftermarket spark plugs. I would always recommend using OEM plugs - you have 3 types to choose from 4a, 5a, and 6a. It is also required to have a ratchet that is capable of snugging down the plugs within the specified torque range. It's very important to have the plugs torqued correctly, as you can either have them too loose, or have them too tight and risk damaging the aluminum head.

  • @bythabayplayer exactly what is the torque setting for these plugs? I have an 04 g35 coupe.

I finally grew the balls to do this myself, until i saw what you wrote.

My friends always told me to tighten the sparkplugs with one hand. when i cannot tighten them anymore with two fingers, that means it's tightened.

  • @ahmer9800 The FSM specifies anywhere between 15-21 ft-lbs

  • @bythabayplayer My 06 coupe 6mt, feels sluggish. I currently have 84K miles on it but I have recently noticed an exhaust leaking noise and I think my plugs need changing... any opinions?

  • The VQ35DE engine in the Maxima is hard as hell to change spark plugs since the engine is mounted transversly for FWD.

  • Whats the recommended torque range for the spark plugs. I can't really hear what you say on the video. Also what did you forget to connect back that gave you a check engine light. Want to make sure I don't leave it out also.
